    Understanding the unique challenges of the client’s global infrastructure, Wisetek crafted a tailored technical solution to address their diverse needs:

    Customization: Leveraging Wisetek’s expertise in manufacturing and lean processes, Wisetek built a tailored solution that ensured secure collection, transportation, and de-manufacturing processes to enable the remarketing of materials from the Data Center equipment. This included;

    • Secure collections including onsite Chain of custody at serial number level with instant feedback.
    • Dedicated logistics for transporting collections to Wisetek processing facilities.
    • De-Manufacturing and test lines to ensure all devices destinated for remarketing are tested as per R2V2 (Responsible recycling) guidelines.
    • Harvesting valuable components for remarketing by the Wisetek dedicated internal Sales team.
    • Separating commodities for either refining or recycling to reuse the precious metals.


    Data Security Excellence

    Recognizing the paramount importance of data security in the cloud and streaming industry, Wisetek implemented robust data erasure processes:

    • Onsite Data Destruction – With one of the most powerful shred fleets, Wisetek implemented a solution to enable 100% Chain of custody on every data carrying device shredded; which included CCTV footage and records of all critical information for their security and compliance teams.

    Sustainable IT Asset Disposition (ITAD)

    Given the client’s emphasis on sustainability, Wisetek integrated environmentally responsible practices into the ITAD strategy:

    • Circular Economy Practices – Prioritizing the reuse and recycling of IT assets to contribute to a circular economy.
    • Sustainability Reporting – Providing key sustainability metrics to enable our customer to leverage the carbon impact savings within their business.

RESULTS

  • Strengthened Data Security and Compliance

    Wisetek’s Data Destruction methods ensured that all sensitive data from decommissioned IT assets, including streaming devices and data center servers, was securely and permanently destroyed with full certificates and video evidence by serial number.

  • Cost-Efficient Asset Lifecycle Management (COGS)

    Through the resale of equipment on Wisetek’s global resale network, the client achieved substantial rebates on the programs after all costs were netted out. The revenue generated from resale activities contributed to a more cost-efficient asset lifecycle management.

  • Positive Environmental Contribution
