Wisetek and Tech2Schools facilitate donation of 80 laptops to Irish Schools
Wisetek is proud to announce that we have teamed up with Tech2Schools to facilitate the donation of 80 refurbished laptops from entrepreneur Tom Brennan to secondary school students at Presentation Secondary School in Clonmel and De La Salle College in Waterford. Tech2Schools is a charitable initiative that aims to connect schools in need of IT equipment with businesses and entrepreneurs that can donate these IT assets.
Wisetek acts as a partner to Tech2Schools and ensures that all IT equipment donated by businesses around the country are collected, processed, and fully refurbished before they are offered to schools in need.
The refurbished laptops will be utilised by students at both schools for a variety of functions and subjects, including supporting students partaking in their Leaving Certificate Applied Course at De La Salle College.
Sean Sheehan, CEO of Wisetek, said: “Wisetek is incredibly proud to work with Tech2Schools to help to ensure that students at both schools can have access to fit for purpose IT equipment, generously donated by Tom Brennan. We hope that these students will experience the incredible educational and social benefit that technology can provide. Tech2Schools is a truly worthy cause which is providing a great service to schools around the country.”
Frank Madden, Founder of Tech2Schools and CEO of Crest Solutions, said: “I would like to thank Wisetek for the great work they have done as our partner to ensure that this IT equipment is fully processed and refurbished. I would also like to thank Tom Brennan for generously donating the IT equipment in question. I look forward to continuing to develop Tech2Schools to ensure that as many school students can have access to modern IT equipment as possible.”
