The theme for World Environment Day on 5th June 2023 will focus on solutions to plastic pollution under the campaign Beat Plastic Pollution.<\/p>\n<p>Wisetek also hosted a Sustainability Quiz internally with staff on Friday 26th and Monday 29th of May. The objective of the quiz was to spread awareness about correct waste segregation as waste was recorded as our third-highest carbon emission factor for Ireland in 2022. There were four winners on both days and each winner won the prize of Samsung Galaxy Tablet. <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-6923 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/wisetek.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"222\" height=\"275\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Alongside these initiatives, Wisetek also operated its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wisetekstore.com\/uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Wisetek Store<\/a>. The Wisetek Store site was launched to give consumers a channel to buy high quality refurbished equipment from a recognised vendor specialising in technology reuse, without having to pay premium prices for brand new items. Refurbished devices are 100% more sustainable than buying a brand-new device. Since it was launched, Wisetek Store has seen a high demand for its products, including their refurbished Windows laptops, Apple MacBooks and iPads. Wisetek Store also plants one tree for every order, helping to significantly reduce the CO2 emissions that contribute to climate change.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sean Sheehan, CEO of Wisetek<\/strong> said \u201c<em>Wisetek is proud of the efforts that we put in to ensure sustainable practices and goals are<\/em> <em>at the heart of Wisetek\u2019s operations and we were delighted to celebrate World Environment Day this year through building our own Bee Hotel and Bird Box on our site. As well as the planting a new meadow to help with the biodiversity for our local environment which supports the community we are based
